Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's swim team fell to the Profs of Rowan University, 81-112, today at the Bradley Center, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference match-up. The Roadrunners fall to 1-3 overall, and 0-2 in the NJAC. Rowan earns their fourth win of the year (4-1), and improve to 2-0 in the conference.
Kevin Wallace (Mt. Laurel, NJ) led the Profs earning three first place ribbons today as he led the 200-yard medley relay team to a one second win over the Ramapo group. The team, made up of Wallace, Matt Marzolf (Sewell, NJ), Jake Taylor (Millville, NJ), and Stephen Tucker (Pittsgrove, NJ) finished the race in 1:43.01. Wallace then placed first in the 200-yard IM in 2:04.46, before wrapping up the day with a first place win in the 500-yard freestyle, touching the poolside in 5:06.78, 42 seconds ahead of the second place finisher.
The Roadrunners were led by Terry Hubert (Howell, NJ) who placed first in the 100-yard freestyle, and Stephen Fox (Freehold Twp., NJ) who placed first in the 100-yard backstroke. Hubert clocked in at 52.05 and Fox finished his race in 58.12. #David Nehls# (Oakland, NJ) earned nine points for Ramapo in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing in 1:04.43.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, December 6th when they host Adelphi University at 2:00 PM.
