Mahwah, NJ: The Roadrunners cruised past Yeshiva University, 7-2 today at the Athletic Center in Mahwah wrapping up their 2007 season at 12-3 overall. Yeshiva falls to 10-4 with the loss.
Ramapo swept all three doubles contests and then took four of six singles flights against the Maccabees to earn the 7-2 season ending win.
At first doubles, senior duo
Ross Switkes (East Brunswick, NJ) and
Scott Seaman (Hazlet, NJ) defeated Daniel Basloe (Englewood, NJ) and Adi Isaacs (Los Angeles, CA), 8-6, before
Matt Soos (Barnegat, NJ) and senior
Greg Kohr (Toms River, NJ) posted a 9-8 (7-5) victory over Eilam Efrat (Jerusalem) and Mike Tawil (Brooklyn, NY) to take a two-point match edge.
Adam Toth (South Plainfield, NJ) and
Jeff Shau (Hackettstown, NJ) wrapped up doubles action with a victory over the Yeshiva pair, 9-8 (7-4) to take a 3-0 match lead.
Rookie
Allen Kats (Montville, NJ) fell short 6-3, 6-3 at first singles before the Roadrunners picked up their fourth point from the second doubles spot where Switkes defeated Basloe, 7-5, 6-4.
Joe Marino (Goshen, NY) earned a 4-6, 6-1, (11-9) victory at fourth singles and Seaman and Kohr wrapped up the day with 6-3, 7-6 (7-2) and 6-2, 6-2 victories respectively.
