Mahwah, NJ: The Roadrunners cruised past Division II Bloomfield today at the Athletic Center in Mahwah with a 9-0 shut out victory to improve to 8-2 overall.
Rookie
Allen Kats (Montville, NJ) posted a smooth 6-0, 6-0 victory at first singles over Bauman Patel before
Ross Switkes (East Brunswick, NJ) and
Keith Dobrin (Tinton Falls, NJ) followed with shut out, 6-0, 6-0 victories of their own at the second and third singles spots.
Scott Seaman (Hazlet, NJ) added a win at fourth singles and
Jeff Shau (Hackettstown, NJ) and senior
Greg Kohr (Toms River, NJ) rounded out Ramapo's perfect singles showing with 6-1, 6-2 and 6-0, 6-0 wins respectively.
In doubles action, Switkes and Seaman paired up at first doubles dropping the Bloomfield pair, 8-1 and Kohr and
Matt Soos (Barnegat, NJ) posted a second doubles, 8-0 win. Juniors
Andrew Godzwon (Old Bridge, NJ) and
Adam Toth (South Plainfield, NJ) wrapped up the day with a third singles 8-1 win.
The Roadrunners return to action tomorrow when they host CSI and STAC at12:00 PM and 2:00 PM respectively.
