Mahwah, NJ: The Roadrunners recorded a 6-3 victory over Baruch College today at the U.S. National Tennis Center in Queens. With the victory, Ramapo improves to 3-1 overall. The Bearcats fall to 3-1 on the year.
Alan Kats (Montville, NJ) earned a 6-4, 6-1 1st singles victory over Emanuel Imperial (Staten Island, NY) before
Ross Switkes (East Brunswick, NJ) posted a 6-1, 6-3 win of his own in the 2nd hole over Timmy Leon (Flushing, NY). Baruch took 3rd singles and
Jeff Shau (Hackettstown, NJ) followed with a 7-6 (7-3), 6-2 with at 5th singles for the Roadrunners. Baruch's second point came at 6th singles, and their final point of the game came at 2nd doubles.
Ramapo's Switkes and Kats downed the 1st doubles pair, 8-5 and
Matt Soos (Barnegat, NJ) and
Greg Kohr (Toms River, NJ) wrapped up Ramapo's points with an 8-5 victory at the 3rd doubles spot.
Ramapo returns to action on Friday, April 6th when they host Polytechnic at 6:30 PM.
