Madison, NJ: The Ramapo College men's and women's swim teams traveled to FDU Florham for a tri-meet match-up against host, FDU, and Montclair State. The men and women both defeated FDU, 71-22 and 73-22 respectively. The Roadrunners fell short to Montclair State, the men, 32-61, and the women, 37-58.
Rookie Danielle Burgio (Manapalan, NJ) finished 1st in the 100 backstroke clocking in at 1:05:1, before finishing 2nd in the 200 freestyle (2:07:00). Rookie Erika Axelsson (North Cape May, NJ) placed 1st in both the 200 individual medley and 500 freestyle. Axelsson finished in 2:18:00 in the 200 individual medley while swimming in 5:27 in the freestyle event. Rookie Christina Polgar (Wayne, NJ) placed 3rd overall in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:28:00 before placing 1st in the breaststroke in 1:15:1.
For the men, rookie Patrick Craig (Lacey, NJ) placed 3rd in the 1,000 freestyle swimming in 12:01:00 while rookie Nick Acciani (Cherry Hill, NJ) finished 2nd in the 50 freestyle in 23.5.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, November 11th when they travel to Rowan University at 1:00 PM.
