Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's soccer team played host to the Scarlet Raiders of Rutgers Newark today at the Athletic Center in Mahwah in a NJAC match-up earning a 1-0 victory. The Roadrunners improve to 7-1 overall, 2-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference heading into tomorrow's match-up with Delaware Valley at 2:00 PM. Rutgers Newark falls to 2-5-1 overall, 0-3 in the conference.

Nick Mataya (West Paterson, NJ) connected with sophomore Benji Eggart (Paterson, NJ) and ripped a shot past Matthew Johnson (Montclair, NJ) to take a 1-0 Ramapo lead. Senior goalkeeper
Patrick Jagodzinski (Lebanon, NJ) blocked two first half shots holding the Scarlet Raiders to nill in the first 45 minutes of play.
In the final half, Ramapo posted six shots and sophomore goalkeeper Matthew Johnson (Montclair, NJ) blocked three shots while Rutgers Newark shot five and Jagodzinski blocked three holding a 1-0 Ramapo final.
Jagodzinski posted the shutout in the complete 90 minutes totaling five saves. Johnson let up the lone goal and posted two saves in the full game.
