Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's soccer team played host to NJAC rival New Jersey City today at the Athletic Center in Mahwah. The Roadrunners suffered their first loss of the 2006 season falling 2-1 to the Gothic Knights. The Roadrunners fall to 6-1 overall, 1-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference heading into Saturday's match-up with Rutgers Newark at 1:00 PM. New Jersey City improves to 6-1 overall, 1-0 in the conference.
The Roadrunners jumped out to a 1-0 lead at the 33:13 minute mark after senior midfielder
Kevin Bradley (Rockaway, NJ) ripped a shot past junior goalkeeper Bruce Neves (Newark, NJ). The Gothic Knights answered back with just 00:39 seconds remaining on the clock when a scramble in front of the net resulted in a Ramapo own goal for a 1-1 halftime score.
In the final 45 minutes of play, sophomore Edison Bilbao (Carteret, NJ) laid a ball back to the six yard line where Ronnie Sanchez (Clifton, NJ) posted what turned out to be the game winner at 70:05. The Gothic Knights held on and recorded their first conference victory, 2-1 over the Roadrunners.

Patrick Jagodzinski (Lebanon, NJ) played the full 90 minutes recording seven saves while Neves posted one in the victory.
The Gothic Knights return to action on Saturday, September 23rd when they host the Profs of Rowan University at 1:00 PM.
