Mahwah, NJ : The Ramapo College men's tennis team fell short, 4-5 today to John Jay at the Athletic Center in Mahwah. The Roadrunners fall to 0-2 overall.
Sophomore SCOTT SEAMAN (Hazlet, NJ ) and rookie JOE MARINO (Goshen, NY ) earned the only two singles wins for Ramapo posting 6-0, 6-2 and 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 victories respectively. SEAMAN and ADAM Toth (South Plainfield, NJ ) paired up in doubles action posting a 10-4 win while GREGG KOHR (Toms River, NJ) and ANDREW GODZWON (Old Bridge, NJ ) added a 10-4 doubles win of their own in the second spot.
For the Bloodhounds, Dan Vizzy (Wayne, NJ ) recorded a 6-3, 6-3 victory at first singles while Stephen Pires (Stratford, CT ) added a 4-6, 7-6, 6-3 (14-12) win of his own at third singles. Vizzy and Chris Principe (Bronx, NY ) paired up for John Jay's lone doubles win, 10-5.
The Roadrunners will travel to St. Thomas on Monday, April 11th for a 3:30 PM start.
