New York, NY (March 18, 2005) - The Baruch College men's tennis team began their spring schedule with a 6-3 defeat of Ramapo College in a non-conference men's tennis match played Friday afternoon at the U.S. National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, Queens.
Baruch (1-0, 0-0 CUNYAC) took all three doubles matches and three of the six singles to win their spring opener against Ramapo (0-1).
Christian Wulff (Lunen, Germany) led the way for the Bearcats by defeating Gregg Kohr (Toms River, NJ) in # 3 singles, 6-0, 6-3. He teamed up with Maxim Moliver (Brooklyn, NY) to win their # 2 doubles match, 10-9 (10-8).
Ramapo's
Ross Switkes (East Brunswick, NY) defeated Boris Krant (New York, NY) in # 1 singles, 6-3, 6-2.
Baruch will return to action this Tuesday, March 22, with a non-conference match against Manhattanville. First serve, which was previously scheduled for 3:30pm, has been moved to 4:00 p.m. at the U.S. National Tennis Center.
