ROADRUNNERS IMPROVE TO 11-1 OVERALL WITH WIN OVER TCNJ

Mahwah , NJ : The Ramapo College Roadrunners improved to 11-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference dropping the Lions of the College of New Jersey, 96-79 in Mahwah. Ramapo now stands at 17-2 overall while TCNJ falls to 15-7 overall, 8-5 in the conference.

TCNJ opened the game leading for the first four minutes until sophomore ANTOINE PRYOR (Elizabeth , NJ ) hit a three-pointer at the 15:53 mark to tie the game at 14. Ramapo took control for the next three minutes until TCNJ grabbed the lead once again with a good three by Derick Grant (Belle Mead, NJ). Ramapo's RASHAWN WILSON (Jersey City, NJ) grabbed the lead back at 11:27 and the team never looked back leading by as many as five in the first half. The Roadrunners spread the gap to 21 in the second and wrapped up the night, 96-79 over the Lions. Ramapo shot 40-74 (54%) over the College of New Jersey 's 30-63 (48%) for the game.

Senior guard AMIN WRIGHT (Jersey City, NJ ) led the Roadrunners shooting 10-19 from the field, 3-4 from the line netting 24 points. WRIGHT dished out four assists and grabbed eight boards and three steals in the win. Sophomore center WILSON recorded 21 points and PRYOR and ELIAZAR VELEZ (West New York, NJ ) posted 14 and ten points respectively. Sophomore transfer TODD LOWBER (Riverside, NJ ) led the team with 12 total rebounds.

For the Lions, Grant posted 31 points shooting 11-23 from the field, 6-9 from the line while Scott Findlay (Long Valley, NJ ) recorded a double-double with 17 points and 12 boards. Mike Snyder (Cranford, NJ ) netted 15 while dishing out four assists and grabbing a team-high four steals.

The Roadrunners will travel to New Jersey City University on Monday, February 7th for a 8:00 PM start while TCNJ will host Rowan University on Wednesday, February 9th at 8:00 PM.
