Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's tennis team fell short 5-4 to the Scarlet Raiders of Rutgers Newark today at the Athletic Center in Mahwah. The Roadrunners fall to 1-2 overall while Rutgers Newark improves to 3-1.

Singles: In singles action, ROSS SWITKES (East Brunswick, NJ) fell short 6-3, 4-6, 6-0 to Nitesh Patel (North Bergen, NJ) while SCOTT SEAMAN (Hazlet, NJ) followed with a 7-5, 6-0 win for Ramapo over PJ Nuqui (Saddle Brook, NJ). GREG KOHR (Toms River, NJ) fell 6-1, 6-3 and DAVE SHEFFRIN (Somerset, NJ) and MATT SEIGLITZ (Jackson, NJ) were both defeated 6-2, 6-2 by Rutgers Newark's Travis Wilkerson (Bayonne, NJ) and Manesh Sojitra (Clifton, NJ) respectively. JOE SOMMERS (Hackensack, NJ) wrapped up singles action with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory over Lukas Rasiej (Wallington, NJ) in the 6th spot.

Doubles: SWITKES and KOHR paired up falling short 8-2 to Patel and Wilkerson while SEAMAN and SOMMERS and SHEFFRIN and SIEGLITZ posted 8-2 and 8-4 victories respectively for the Roadrunners.

Ramapo will travel to Polytechnic on Saturday, April 10th for a noon start.
