Mahwah , NJ : The Ramapo College men's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to the Scarlet Raptors of Rutgers Camden today at the Athletic Center in Mahwah. Ramapo finishes the regular season, 11-4-1 overall, 3-4-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference while Rutgers Camden finishes at 14-1-4 overall, 5-1-2 in the conference.
The Scarlet Raptors took a 1-0 lead at 28:03 when junior Kevin Ridgway (Cinnaminson, NJ ) connected with a cross from Brett Mattei (Turnersville, NJ ). In the second 45 minutes of play, Rodney Guishard (Mays Landing, NJ) gave the Scarlet Raptors a 2-0 lead at 68:08 and James Ono (Bridgeton, NJ) put one away at 81:50 for the 3-0 victory. Rutgers Camden out shot Ramapo 9-5.
Sophomore goalkeeper Tim Giacobbe (Stratford, NJ ) earns the shut out posting two saves while sophomore goalkeeper PATRICK JAGODZINSKI (Lebanon, NJ ) blocked three shots in the loss.
The Roadrunners enter the New Jersey Athletic Conference post season tournament as the number five seed while Rutgers Camden awaits news from the Rowan-Stockton game which determines if they will be seeded second or third.
