Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's soccer team earned their 11th shut out of the season today downing the Profs of Rowan University, 1-0 at the Athletic Center. Ramapo improves to 12-1-2 overall, 5-1-1 in the conference while Rowan falls to 11-5 overall, 3-3 NJAC.
The game remained scoreless until the 81st minute when junior NORMAN CROCHETIERE (Hamilton, NJ) netted his second of the season off a cross from senior KEVIN PACKEN (Bayville, NJ). PACKEN received the ball from MATT CHESTER (Hamilton, NJ) just outside the 30-yard mark. Rookie goalkeeper PATRICK JAGODZINSKI (Lebanon, NJ) earned his 6th shut out of the season breaking the all-time school record held by WILDER OTAYZA (5.5, 1997). JAGODZINSKI posted seven saves in the game. Rowan's net minder Tom Eichhorn (Dumont, NJ) blocked three. Rowan out shot Ramapo, 14-7.
The Roadrunners will take action again on Saturday, October 25th when they travel to Stockton for a 1:00 PM start.
