Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team defeated the Bloodhounds of John Jay College, 3-1 (30-23, 23-30, 30-27, 30-21) today at the Athletic Center. Ramapo improves to 4-17 overall while John Jay falls to 8-10.

Ramapo was led by rookie SAMANTHA WEJNERT (Paramus, NJ) with 12 kills, two digs, and two total blocks. CHARYS PATMORE (Paterson, NJ) posted ten kills while leading the team with eight total blocks, four solo. Sophomore KAITLIN RINALDI (Paramus, NJ) led the defense with 19 digs and junior CAMILA VIEIRA (Brazil) followed with 15. LINDSEY WESTON (Torrington, CT) and ALISON MARZOCCHI (Harrington Park, NJ dished out a total 20 assists. WESTON added 12 digs and MARZOCCHI dug ten.

For John Jay, Kerri Koslowsky (Auburn, NE) led with 15 kills and Beata Chojnowska (Lomza, Poland) added 12. Carmen Miranda (Bronx, NY) dished out a team high 16 assists.

Ramapo will travel to York College (NY) tomorrow at 7:00 PM.
