#8 RAMAPO BLANKS #17 NEW JERSEY CITY

Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's soccer team recorded their ninth shut out of the season today as they defeated the Gothic Knights of New Jersey City, 3-0 at the Athletic Center. The Roadrunners improve to 9-0-2 overall, 3-0-1 NJAC while the Gothic Knights fall to 7-2-2 overall, 1-1-1 in the conference.

Junior midfielder MATT CHESTER (Hamilton, NJ) netted Ramapo's first goal at 25:07, unassisted and rookie ADAM AURIEMMA (Paramus, NJ) added insurance with just three minutes left in the first half when he connected with a pass from junior JEREMY TAYLOR (Hackensack, NJ). TAYLOR netted a penalty kick at 82:41 downing the Gothic Knights, 3-0 in Mahwah. Ramapo out shot New Jersey City, 16-11.

Rookie Goalkeeper PATRICK JAGODZINSKI (Lebanon, NJ) posted his fifth shut out of the season blocking eight shots while Baba Guisse (Jersey City, NJ) stopped seven, letting up three goals in 90 minutes.

The Roadrunners will travel to Rutgers Camden on Saturday, October 4th for a 6:00 PM start.
