Wayne, NJ: The Ramapo College men's basketball team remains in first place tonight after defeating the Pioneers of William Paterson University, 71-60. The Roadrunners improve to 16-2 overall, 10-1 NJAC while the Pioneers fall to 14-4 overall, 8-3 in the conference.
Ramapo shot 25-50 (50%) from the floor while William Paterson shot 21-52 (40%). Ramapo was led by the junior class scoring 47 of Ramapo's 71 points. Junior CHARLES RANSOM (Jersey City, NJ) led the way with 19 points and three boards. JAY DEGROAT (Middletown, NY) added 16 points shooting 5-6 from the three point arc while JARED MILLIGAN (Ringwood, NJ) added 12 on the night with six rebounds and one assist. Senior TENNYSON WHITTED (Jersey City, NJ) dished out six assists and RASHEEN GADSEN (Jersey City, NJ) added three assists and nine points.
For William Paterson, Brandon Constantine (Teaneck, NJ) and Khayri Battle (Newark, NJ) scored 15 and 14 points respectively, each with two assists. Terrance McNeal (C.M. Courthouse, NJ) pulled down seven rebounds, while Keyth Hardy (Middlesex, NJ) had six.
