Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo Roadrunners fell short to #12 Kean University, 2-3 today at the Athletic Center. Ramapo records their first lost of the season falling to 3-1-1 overall, 0-1 NJAC while Kean improves to 6-1 overall, 1-0 NJAC.
Senior Rudy Lormil (Irvington, NJ) posted two goals for Kean in the 44th and 73rd minutes pushing Kean, 3-2 over Ramapo. Junior Dom Tamin (Orange, NJ) netted one for the team at 51:41 assisted by Andre Marshall (Brooklyn, NY). Marshall and Tamin also recorded assists on the day.
For the Roadrunners, junior CHRIS BLACKMORE (Winslow, NJ) gave Ramapo a 1-0 lead in the 2nd minute off a ball from sophomore ANDRES GIRALDO (Bergenfield, NJ). BLACKMORE tied the game at 57:28. STEPHEN STALGAITIS (Pequannock, NJ) dished in one assist for the team.
Peter-John Fallon (Jamacia) tallied seven saves for Kean while senior ADAM HEIFITZ (Paramus, NJ) blocked eight shots in 90 minutes.
The Roadrunners will host Eastern Connecticut on Sunday, September 22nd at 2:00 PM.
