Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College Roadrunners improved to 9-3-1 overall, 3-3 NJAC as the defeated the Scarlet Raiders of Rutgers Newark, 4-0 at the Athletic Center. The Scarlet Raiders drop to 3-9-1 overall, 0-7 NJAC.

Rutgers Newark out shot Ramapo 14-12 but were unable to capitalize. Sophomore JEREMY TAYLOR (Hackensack, NJ) netted the game-winning goal at 28:58 assisted by senior PATRICK PETRETTA (Middletown, NJ) and sophomore MATT CHESTER (Hamilton, NJ). CHRIS BLACKMORE (Winslow, NJ) added one in the second (61:01) and CHESTER posted one of his own just four minutes later. Senior ADAM TIGHE (Brick, NJ) recorded his fourth goal of the season pushing Ramapo 4-0 over Rutgers Newark. MANALO VIOTTI (Spain) and MICHAEL UNGER (Long Branch, NJ) each added assists in the match-up.

Senior goalkeeper ADAM HEIFITZ (Paramus, NJ) recorded his third shutout of the season blocking six shots while Carmine Cambareri (Cliffside Park, NJ) blocked three shots in the game.

The Roadrunners will head into NJAC competition on Wednesday, October 23 as they travel to Montclair State for a 3:00 PM game.
