Abby Shiffler

Abby Shiffler enters her sixth season as the head coach of the women's soccer program at Ramapo College. 

The Roadrunners recorded a 3-11-1 overall record during the 2016 season. Senior Bryce Knoblock was named NJAC Honorable Mention All-Conference.

Ramapo finished the 2015 season with a 9-7-1 overall record and 3-5-1 in the NJAC. Ramapo earned the #6 seed in the ECAC Women's Soccer Tournament in 2015, the first ECAC bid since 2007 and first under Coach Shiffler. The Roadrunners went up against NJAC foe #3 seeded Rutgers Newark falling 4-3. Autumn Herring earned ECAC First Team All-Star and NJAC First Team All-Conference to wrap up her four-year career. Gabriella DiLiberto, Nicole Ninomiya, and Rebecca Galarza each earned NJAC Honorable Mention All-Conference.

Ramapo finished the 2014 season with a 5-10-2 overall record and 2-7 in the NJAC, while in 2013 the Roadrunners went 8-11 overall and 4-5 in the NJAC while earning the programs first NJAC Women's Soccer Tournament bid in school history as the #6 seed. Katie Popowych earned NJAC Second Team All-Conference honors while sophomore Autumn Herring earned NJAC Honorable Mention All-Conference following the 2013 season. During her first season she led the 2012 Roadrunners to a 7-9 overall record with two wins in the New Jersey Athletic Conference.

Shiffler began her coaching career with Fairleigh Dickinson University as an assistant coach for the 2007 season, before joining the staff at Caldwell College in 2008.  Shiffler spent 2009 training the goalkeepers at the University of Pennsylvania, and most recently served as an assistant coach for the University of Massachusetts.

Shiffler was a four-year starter in goal for Monmouth University from 2001-2004.  She recorded 280 career saves to rank third on the program's all-time list.  Shiffler earned All-Northeast Conference Second Team honors as a freshman while receiving the team's Rookie of the Year award.  In 2002, Shiffler helped the Hawks advance to the final of the NEC Tournament, and as a junior, she ranked second in the conference in both goals-against average and save percentage.

She is a 2005 graduate of Monmouth University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in political science.  Shiffler resides in West Milford, NJ.
