Verrino earns her first NJAC Player of the Week honor after powering Ramapo to a 3-1 week in NJAC play, including a sweep of No. 12 Rowan on Saturday. She batted .462 (6-for-13) with a .692 slugging percentage and .533 on-base percentage, and tallied four RBI, four runs scored, and three doubles. She was also flawless in the field, successfully handling all 21 chances at shortstop. She went 3-for-8 with two doubles and an RBI in a split with Montclair State. In the upset sweep of Rowan, she drove in the game-tying run before scoring the game-winning run in the 2-1 win in game one. In game two, she recorded a big two-RBI single when the Roadrunners were down 3-0, and later scored the game-tying run in the same inning. Ramapo won 5-4 to complete the sweep. Verrino leads the NJAC with 14 doubles this season; she is also eighth in slugging percentage (.581) and 11th in batting average (.395).
