Bonacum earns his second straight NJAC Player of the Week honor after leading Ramapo into the NCAA Sweet 16 for the fourth time in school history. He averaged 24.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists in two NCAA Tournament games. He dropped 15 points, largely thanks to his 10-for-12 performance at the free throw line, and pulled down nine rebounds in the first round win over Moravian. He added three assists and a blocked shot in the national tournament opener. He followed up with arguably one of the best games of his career, pouring in 33 points and grabbing 13 rebounds to lead the Roadrunners to an upset over No. 5 Williams on Williams’ home court. He went 11-for-15 from the field, 5-for-7 from long range, and a perfect 6-for-6 at the free throw line. He also dished out three assists, recorded two steals, and blocked a shot. He shot 62 percent for the week, and a combined 6-for-9 from three-point range. He currently ranks seventh among all NJAC scorers with 14.6 points per game and is fourth in rebounding with 7.8 boards per game. Bonacum and the Roadrunners will host the sectional next weekend at the Bradley Center.
