Bonacum earns NJAC Player of the Week honors for the third time this season after leading the No. 7 Roadrunners to the 2016-17 NJAC Championship. He averaged 18.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game in a pair of NJAC Tournament wins which propelled Ramapo to its fourth conference title in program history. He opened the week with a double-double 16 points and 10 rebounds in a 110-101 NJAC semifinal win over Rowan. Three days later, he registered 20 points, nine rebounds, and four assists in a 67-64 NJAC Championship Game victory over No. 21 NJCU.In one of the most dramatic finishes in conference history, he connected on a half-court shot as time expired to propel the Roadrunners to the NJAC title. As champions of the NJAC, Ramapo will open NCAA Tournament play at home on March 3 against Misericordia. The NJAC Player of the Year, Bonacum currently ranks second in the NJAC in scoring (17.7 points per game). Also named MET Writers Division III Player of the Week.
