Hernandez earns NJAC Track Athlete of the Week honors after traveling to State College, PA to compete at the Penn State University Invitational. He placed sixth in a field of 16 competitors in the one mile run with an ECAC qualifying time of 4:09.56. The performance by Hernandez currently stands as the fourth-best time in the one mile event in NCAA Division III this season.
