Hughes earns NJAC Track Athlete of the Week honors after traveling to Staten Island to compete at the Gotham Cup meet contested at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex. She placed ninth in a field of 43 competitors in the one mile run with an ECAC qualifying time of 5:16.09. She also notched a 16th-place finish in a field of 55 competitors in the 800 meters with an ECAC qualifying time of 2:22.86. The performance by Hughes in the one mile run currently ranks as the top conference time in the event this season.
