Ramapo College of New Jersey Athletics

Almeda earns her third straight NJAC Rookie of the Week honor after helping Ramapo to a 3-0 week including a NJAC victory over preseason favorite Stockton. She recorded seven kills in each of the Roadrunners’ three matches last week for a total of 21. Six of her seven kills against the Ospreys came in the decisive fourth set to lift Ramapo to the win. She also tallied 24 digs, nine aces and an assist, with 12 digs in a nonconference win over St. Joseph’s (LI). Almeda currently leads all NJAC players and is 10th nationally with 45 total service aces. She is also the NJAC’s leading rookie with 2.69 digs per set.
