Kadyer-Akhunova becomes the second different Roadrunner to earn NJAC Rookie of the Week honors after posting 2-0 records in both singles and doubles play during a pair of match victories for Ramapo. She opened the week by posting a 7-5, 0-6, 10-2 win at second singles, while teaming with Sara Luby for an 8-1 pro-set win at second doubles in Ramapo’s 8-1 non-conference road win at Staten Island. One day later, she posted a 6-0, 6-3 win at second singles while teaming with Luby for an 8-1 pro-set victory at second doubles in a 9-0 non-conference blanking of Mt. St. Mary. Kadyer-Akhunova currently has a 5-3 overall record at second singles play during her rookie season.
