Hernandez earns NJAC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this season after competing on his home track in the NJAC Outdoor Championships. In the first outdoor conference championship meet of his collegiate career, he claimed the league crown in the 800 meters by placing first in a field of 34 runners with an ECAC qualifying time of 1:51.02. He also
garnered the conference crown in the 1,500 meters by placing first in a field of 24 competitors with a conference-record and an ECAC qualifying time of 3:53.71. His winning performance in the 800 meters currently ranks as the sixth best time produced in the event in NCAA Division III this season. The two event wins by Hernandez helped the Roadrunners place fourth overall in the
nine-team NJAC Outdoor Championship.
