Hernandez earns NJAC & ECAC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week honors after competing at both Princeton’s Larry Ellis Invite and East Stroudsburg’s All-American Invite. On Friday at the Princeton Invite, Hernandez placed 41st in a field of 105 competitors in the 1,500 meter run, registering an ECAC qualifying time of 3:51.86. On Saturday at the All-American Invite, he clocked in an ECAC qualifying time of 1:51.33 in the 800 meters, taking home second-place in a field of 59 runners. His performance in the 800 meters currently leads the NJAC and ranks sixth nationally in Division III, while his performance in the 1,500 meters leads the NJAC and ranks 10th nationally.
