Melendez earns NJAC Player of the Week honors after hitting .692 (9-for-13) with one double, one home run, five runs scored, and five RBI during a 4-0 week of play for the Roadrunners. She opened the week by going 3-for-4 with one home run, three hits, two runs scored, and three RBi during a 12-7 road victory over Brooklyn. In game two over Brooklyn, she went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, three hits, and one run scored during the 13-0 victory. She wrapped up the week by going a combined 3-for-5 with one double, one walk, three hits, two runs scored, and two RBI during 12-1 and 9-1 five-inning victories over NJCU.
