Hernandez earns NJAC Track Athlete of the Week honors for the third time this season after traveling to Manhattan to compete at the NJAC Indoor Championships. In the first conference championship meet of his collegiate career, he claimed the NJAC crown in the 800 meters by placing first in a field of 20 runners with an ECAC qualifying and conference-record time of 1:52.14. He also garnered the conference title in the mile by placing first in a field of 13 runners with an ECAC qualifying time of 4:12.41. He continues to hold the best time in the NJAC and the third best time in all of NCAA Division III in the 8000 meters (1:52.42 adjusted), while also holding the best time in the NJAC and the ninth best time in Division III in the mile (4:12.41). The performances by Hernandez helped the Roadrunners place second overall in the nine-team NJAC men’s indoor track & field championship meet.
