Begen earns NJAC Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honors after competing at Ramapo’s own Roadrunner Tune-up. He posted an ECAC qualifying and personal-best mark of 14.35 meters in the shot put, placing third in a field of 24 competitors. He also produced a third-place showing in the weight throw in a field of 23 competitors, registering another personal-best mark of 15.30 meters. The performances by Begen in the shot put and weight throw currently rank as the second-best NJAC marks in the events this season.
