Housel becomes the second different Roadrunner to earn NJAC & ECAC Rookie of the Week honors after traveling to Piscataway to compete at the Metropolitan Conference Championships. In the first championship meet of her collegiate career, she was the top NJAC finisher in the 200 backstroke, placing sixth overall with a school-record time of 2:09.56. She also posted a 12th place Met finish in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:00.60. Housel, who established new Ramapo school-records in both backstroke events, also competed in the 500 freestyle (5:30.73) and was a member of the Roadrunners’ 800 freestyle relay (8:22.26). The performances by Housel helped Ramapo claim sixth place overall in the 18-team Met Conference Championship meet.
