Hernandez earns ECAC & NJAC Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honors registering the fastest time by a NCAA Division III athlete at the New Balance Armory Track & Field Center during the Ramapo Indoor Select. Individually, he produced a first-place showing in the 800 meter race with an ECAC qualifying and winning time of 1:50.82. He was also a member of the Roadrunners’ first-place distance medley squad, which produced an ECAC qualifying and winning time of 10:20.42, just .07 seconds away from breaking the school record. The performance by Hernandez in the 800 meters currently ranks as the best NCAA Division III time this season.
