Dowell earns NJAC Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honors after competing at the New York City Gotham Cup. Individually, he was the runner up in a field of 34 competitors in the triple jump, posting an ECAC qualifying distance of 14.62 meters. He also placed 18th in a field of 72 competitors in the long jump with another ECAC qualifying mark of 6.66 meters. Dowell also placed 38th in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.18 seconds. Dowell’s performance in the triple jump currently ranks as the best NJAC leap and the second-best leap in all of NCAA Division III.
