He placed sixth in a field of 23 competitors in the 60 meter dash with a personal-best time of 7.16. He also placed second in a field of seven competitors in the triple jump with an ECAC qualifying mark of 13.86 meters. Dowell also took home a sixth-place showing in a field of 16 competitors in the long jump with a leap of 6.36 meters.
