Dowell earns the first NJAC Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week selection after competing at Yale University’s Season Opener. He placed sixth in a field of 23 competitors in the 60 meter dash with a personal-best time of 7.16. He also placed second in a field of seven competitors in the triple jump with an ECAC qualifying mark of 13.86 meters. Dowell also took home a sixth-place showing in a field of 16 competitors in the long jump with a leap of 6.36 meters. The performance by Dowell in the triple jump currently ranks as the second-best NJAC leap, and the sixth best NCAA Division III mark in the event this year.
