Appezzato earns the final NJAC Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week selection, her third of the season, after traveling to Delaware, OH to compete in the NCAA Division III National Outdoor Championships hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University. She claimed the national title along with All-American honors in the javelin by placing first in a field of 22 national competitors with a school-record toss of 47.96 meters. The 2014 NJAC champion in the javelin, Appezzato garnered All-American honors in the event for the second consecutive season and helped the Roadrunners finish a conference-best 21st in the 79-scoring team NCAA national outdoor championship meet.
