Begen becomes the third different Roadrunner to earn NJAC Men’s Outdoor Rookie of the Week honors after traveling to Troy, NY to compete at the ECAC Outdoor Championships hosted by Rensellaer. He placed sixth in a field of nine competitors in the javelin with a toss of 53.71 meters. Begen wrapped up his freshman season with the third best mark in the javelin event by any NJAC student-athlete during the season (55.93 meters).
