Gamez earns NJAC Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this season after competing at the NYC Gotham Cup hosted by New York University. He finished 15th in a field of 49 runners in the 60-meter hurdles with an ECAC qualifying time of 8.60. He then placed sixth in the triple jump in a field of 34 competitors with another ECAC qualifying performance of 13.98 meters. Gamez also competed in the high jump, placing 10th in a field of 22 competitors with a mark of 1.89 meters. Gamez’s performance in the triple jump currently ranks as the best in the NJAC and the fourth best in all of NCAA Division III this season.
