Gamez earns the first NJAC Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week selection after traveling to New Haven, CT to compete at the Yale University Season Opener. In the first meet of his collegiate career, he placed third in a field of 15 competitors in the long jump with an ECAC qualifying leap of 6.85 meters. He also placed second in a field of seven competitors in the high jump with an ECAC qualifying mark of 1.94 meters. Both of his leaps represented conference-bests, while his performances in the long jump and the triple jump also currently rank second and 13th respectively in NCAA Division III this season.
