Van Leeuwen earns NJAC Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this season after competing in the New Balance Collegiate Invitational contested at the New York Armory. He placed sixth in a field of 19 competitors in the pole vault with an NCAA automatic qualifying mark of 5.15 meters. The performance by Leeuwen earned him a higher finish in the pole vault event than Division I competitors from LSU, Connecticut, BYU, Tennessee, UCLA and Texas.
