Joey Cacchiola (Union, NJ), sophomore
Dan Moreno (Cranford, NJ) and rookies
Michael Hansford (Hillsborough, NJ),
Christian Spurr (Warren, NJ) and
Travis Zilg (North Caldwell, NJ) have been selected.
Cacchiola has been named to the Second Team All-State after being named to the team in 2009 and the All-Rookie team in 2007. He recorded 57 hits on 143 at-bats for a .399 average while scoring 34 runs and knocking in 34 RBI. He ripped 11 doubles, three triples and three home runs while he was 7-8 in stolen bases.
Moreno has been named to the Third Team All-State after leading the Roadrunners in batting average, .415 (59-142). He scored 34 runs while knocking in a team high 37 RBI. He belted out a team high five home runs and 16 doubles.
Hansford was named to the All-Rookie Team. He was 38-96 for a .396 batting average, third on the team while he knocked in 20 RBI and scored 27 runs. He ripped seven doubles and two home runs and was second on the team with 16 walks
Spurr was named to the All-Rookie Team. He posted a .375 average (42-112) while he scored 27 runs and knocked in 32 RBI, third on the team. He recorded nine doubles and three home runs.
Zlig was named to the All-Rookie Team after leading the Roadrunners with 45 strikeouts in 45.0 innings pitched. He made 15 appearances on the mound with seven starts and recorded two saves with a 2-3 overall record.
