Hernandez earns NJAC Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week honors after traveling to compete in Princeton University’s Larry Ellis Invitational. He placed 14th in a field of 62 national competitors in the 800 meters with a time of 1:51.52. One day later at Moravian College’s Greyhound
Invitational, he was a member of the Roadrunners’ 4x400 meter relay which placed fourth with a time of 3:29.78. The performance by Hernandez in the race at Princeton currently stands as the fourth-best time recorded in the 800 meters in all of NCAA Division III this season.
